The Passion Towards Purpose from Opportunity -  NHL, NLL In-Game Host Tyson Geick’s Journey

9/4/2020

Growing up, Lacrosse was Tyson Geick’s go-to sport, and he received a scholarship to play at Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pennsylvania. An opportunity within broadcasting came up to be involved with both the men and women’s hockey teams at Mercyhurst. Geick became immersed in the media/reporting area from then on, “I loved doing it, and I could see myself doing that forever.”

LISTEN TO HIS STORY HERE:
Fast-forward to the present, Geick is a busy man.

Not only is he the In-Game Host for the Vancouver Canucks (NHL), the Vancouver Warriors (NLL), he also is the owner of Flash Media House - a media company. He is the founder of Lacrosse Flash, focusing on analysis and overall content creation in each Lacrosse league.

So, he is always trying not only to be the best he can but also to utilize every skill he can to be a quadruple threat to the industry. Like Geick mentioned, “It’s kinda cool where things have taken me, but I’ve never said no to an opportunity where I’m turning something down. You don’t know where that’s going to lead and what doors that’s going to open.”
